Handsworth hit and run

A man is fighting for his life after a hit and run in Handsworth - while a second man was stabbed in the same location. The 33-year-old was struck by a vehicle here in Hampstead Road, just before 6 am on Sunday, Police describe his injuries as life threatening. The other man suffered “serious, but not life-threatening stab injuries”

Police say they have launched an investigation. We will keep you updated on this story as it develops.

Sutton Coldfield rape investigation

West Midlands Police continue to investigate after a woman was raped in Princess Alice Park, Sutton Coldfield. The attack happened after 8pm on Sunday 3 October.

Detectives say: “We’re using every forensic opportunity available to us.” The man is described as white, aged 20-35, with a medium to stocky build.
