Sukhchain Dale jailed for seven years and four

A disqualified driver who was caught with more than £1 million of cocaine after being stopped by officers has been jailed.

Sukhchain Dale was found with the large stash of Class A drugs after his van was pulled over on the M6 northbound in Birmingham on 27 May this year.

The haul - with a street value of well over £1 million - was seized and the 36-year-old from Showell Lane, Penn, was arrested.

Dale pleaded guilty to possession of drugs with intent to supply, and disqualified driving, and was jailed for seven years and four months at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday (26 June).

A statement from West Midlands Police, said: “Drugs ruin lives and lead to further crime within our communities.

“We’re now running Operation Target in a tough stance against a range of serious offences – from drug dealing and burglary, to cyber-crime and fraud.

“Officers are using local intelligence, seizing goods, carrying out warrants and targeting suspects as part of the ongoing operation.”
