Man attacked during road rage incident in Wednesbury

Police are appealing for information following the incident in Wednesbury on Tuesday

Police are appealing for information after a man was left with serious injuries following a suspected road rage attack in Sandwell.

It’s understood a minor collision occurred between a Honda Civic and Ford Transit in Park Lane, Wednesbury, at around 1.15pm yesterday (Tuesday, 8 August).

The driver of the Honda Civic was then confronted by a man from the Transit and punched several times. The man, aged in his 50s, has been taken to hospital with serious facial injuries. He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Police said someone else from the Transit is then understood to have taken the victim’s car keys and took his vehicle.

A statement from the force, read: “We’re carrying out enquiries to identify who was responsible and anyone with information is asked to contact us.
