A man has been seriously injured after being attacked with a hammer in Sparkhill, Birmingham.
West Midlands Police said the assault took place on Wednesday (February, 21) at around 2pm, on Stratford Road near College Road. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Hide AdPolice are appealing for witnesses and have especially asked for anyone with dashcam footage around Stratford Road between Springfield Road and Shaftmoor Lane at the time of the attack to get in touch.


A spokesperson for WMP said: “ We are appealing for information after a man was assaulted with a hammer in Sparkhill. It happened on Stratford Road, near to College Road, at around 2pm on Wednesday 21st February.
“A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. We are asking anyone to come forward with information which may help our enquiries.
