For sale: Inside the gorgeous Lickey Hills home that was built for Birmingham's Cadbury family

A dream home in the Licky Hills previously belonging to the historic Cadbury family is up for sale

A mansion in the Lickey Hills that was built for the Cadbury family is up for sale.

The stunning Edwardian Arts and Crafts home was built in 1905 for George Cadbury Junior. Geoge's father John was the founder of the iconic chocolate business.

John Cadbury was a tea and coffee trader before creating the Cadbury brand. The Cadbury business was relocated in 1879 to an area of what was then north Worcestershire, on the borders of the parishes of Northfield and King’s Norton centred on Bournbrook Hall, where they developed the garden village of Bournville. John’s family then developed the Cadbury’s factory here, which of course remains the main UK manufacturing site of the business.

Many members of the Cadbury remained in and around Birmingham, including George, who had this stunning 5-bedroom mansion built for him. Recently refurbished by the current owners the property is beautifully appointed throughout.

It's now on the market for £1,250,000. Let's take a look inside.
