Murder in Kings Norton: A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died from stab wounds in hospital. The 21-year-old was helped by a passer-by who called an ambulance on Middleton Hall Road around 9.30pm on Friday (1 Oct). He sadly died from his injuries hours later. Officers are studying CCTV from the area and would like to hear from anyone who has information or possible dash cam footage. A 20-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody for questioning.

Covid spot checks in Sandwell: Covid spot checks are to start in Sandwell to ensure businesses are managing the spread of Covid-19. Sandwell Council will work with the Health and Safety Executive to offer advice on safer measures. The HSE will also check businesses have measures in place to support workers.
