Late Night Lycett: This is how many people watched Joe Lycett’s new chat show filmed live in Birmingham

Channel 4 has released the viewing figures for Late Night Lycett - Brummie comedian Joe Lycett’s Friday night chat show filmed live at The Bond in Digbeth

Joe Lycett’s new chat show Late Night Lycett saw some crazy antics with guests Dame Joanna Lumley, Alan Carr, Alison Hammond and Katherine Ryan.

The fun show screened live from The Bond in Digbeth on Channel 4 on Friday night with links to Joe’s local corner shop in Kings Heath where actress Claire Sweeney was serving at the till.

Other antics included Joanna Lumley being asked to give Joe’s aunties - Pauline and Margaret - some tips on decorum and Alison Hamond let slip she gets free parking at the Bullring (but gives the money she saves to charity).

Oh, and Katherine Ryan, didn’t make it into the studio and was seen floating away on a barge down a canal - it was a truly entertaining hour packed full of hilarity.

But how many people tuned in to watch?

Channel 4 has released the viewing figure for the first episode of Joe’s show and announced that at a peak an impressive 1.4m people watched the show at home and in the studio.

If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t worry because you can catch it on All4 and there’s a new episode filmed live once more from Digbeth at 10pm this Friday.

Here are a few highlights from episode one:
