The Toll House on the Worcester to Birmingham canal has been restored and is now available to rent as a luxury home

The Grade II listed Kings Norton Junction Toll House in Birmingham has been restored following a fire in 2019 and is now available to rent.

The Canal and River Trust have painstakingly restored the historic toll house on the banks of the canal in Kings Norton to its former glory.

The results are quite outstanding.

The historic building, which was built in 1796, was badly damaged in a fire in 2017. The property was most recently used as a private residence, but was partly destroyed following an arson attack in 2019 in which 20 firefighters were called to deal with the blaze at the historic Lock Keeper’s House.

The Canal and River Trust have since restored the property, which is now available to rent for £1,800 per month.

The property is now a very spacious three bedroom detached residency in the idyllic rural setting, yet at the same time being within close proximity of Cotteridge and Kings Norton.

The property offers excellent access to all transport links which included the local Kings Norton train station, M40, M45 and M5. There is also great access to all local amenities including, schools, parks, QE Hospital, shops and Birmingham University.

Let’s take a look inside:
