Birmingham residents are set to take to the streets, with parties being held across the borough over the Coronation weekend. On May 6 and 7, city centre will be transformed - as if Christmas came early - to celebrate the diverse culture and communities living in the city.

There will be a big screen for the live coronation broadcast on May 6 and for the Coronation concert next day. Apart from that, there will be live acts, food stalls, and a fun fair. You can also celebrate with your local community at one of the hundreds of street parties and events in the city. On Sunday there will be more live entertainment plus a screening of the Coronation Concert from Windsor Castle.

Street parties will also be held around Birmingham and a number of road closures will be in place from Saturday May 6, to Monday, May 8. There are 81 road closures confirmed for street parties over the Coronation weekend, and a number of these are cul-de-sacs. Many of these closures are small, private events organised by and for the residents of these roads.

Here is the full list of road closures in Birmingham over the Coronation weekend.
