Killer sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison

A man who launched a deadly stabbing spree in Birmingham has been sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison.

Twenty-three year-old Jacob Billington died and seven others were injured in five separate incidents across the city on 6 September 2020.

Aldi buys Brownhills shopping precinct

Aldi has completed a deal to buy the derelict Ravenscourt shopping precinct where it is planning to open a new store. The development which is subject to planning permission will see the closure of their current store on the High Street.

Couple reunited with their cat after 10 years

A couple have been re-united with their cat following a ten-year absence. Big Ginge when missing in Birmingham in 2011. He turned up in Staffordshire. Owners Colin Clayton and Eva Bellamy say they’re delighted after his microchip revealed his whereabouts following a routine scan at a Lichfield vets.
