Johnny Depp was here in Birmingham for a special guest performance alongside Jeff Beck at the Symphony Hall on Monday night (June 6).
The Piratates of the Caribbean actor has been touring the UK with Beck after winning his multi-million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Fans got to meet Depp at Varanasi restaurant on Broad Street where he hired out the whole venue and spent a reported £50,000 on a curry feast. He also spent time with followers outside the Grand Hotel ahead of the concert.

Rachel said, “After following the trial for six weeks, and him being exonerated, basically I think it is brilliant.”

Kat said, “I saw some clips when he was coming out from… I think he was in the Grand Hotel. And, you know, he’s always trying to be nice to his fans. He’s always trying to give a little bit of him to everyone.”


Harvey said, “We came out and he was saying hello to all the fans, to be fair. I mean, when Tom Cruise was up here a few months ago, he just didn’t have any time - he was ushered in. Now, Johnny spent a bit of time with the fans, trying to talk.”

Susan said, “I think that it brought a lot of liveliness on the stage, I suppose as Jeff is getting on now.
Toby said: “So as compared to his work on films, it was definitely on par if not better in the music world. His voice, his guitar playing, was absolutely phenomenal. But yeah, Johnny Depp, Jeff Beck combo is absolutely brilliant.”
