A trainee scheme involving popular Birmingham comedian Joe Lycett has been launched to give people a chance to learn about the stand-up comedy industry. Joining Lycett as organisers of the scheme are Rumpus Media, Channel 4 skills and Film Birmingham.
There are four positions available for people who want to learn about the industry. The positions are available in four departments.

Hide AdThese are Production Management, Producing, Technical (camera/sound) and Art. The deadline for applying for one of the positions is February 22.
The work will be full time and paid at a weekly rate of £550 gross. The job will be based in Birmingham and will be part remote working / part studio / production office. You will also need to be available to work on Good Friday.
You do not need to have any specific qualifications or any previous experience working in TV but you do need to be enthusiastic, have a genuine interest in TV Production and a ‘can do’ attitude.
If you are successful in getting an interview, these will take place on Wednesday, March 1 and Thursday, March 2 in Birmingham. If you have not been contacted by this point, you can assume your application has not been successful.
