Brummie comedian Joe Lycett has released his own Christmas card collection this year.

The comedian and artist has created a limited edition set of five colourful designs which are now available to buy, although they might not be the best ones for your parents or grandparents this festive season.

Lycett’s very own Xmas cards include messages such as ‘Fart Grenade’ and ‘More Shower Gell’, as well as a range of others. He has created a pack of 5 exclusive limited edition Christmas cards, raising money for artists for a good cause.

Lycett has been in the headlines in recent weeks following his appearance on Laura Kuenssberg’s BBC show in which he made some gags about Liz Truss just before she became Prime Minister.

Lycett - who is no stranger to controversy - had jokingly said during BBC’s Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg that he was “very right-wing” and felt “reassured” following Truss’ fairly calamitous live interview with Kuenssberg ahead of the show.

The Daily Mail then printed on one of their front pages about the comedian mocking Truss, which Lycett was typically pleased with and had the front page framed in his house.

What are people saying about the cards?

The comedian’s Christmas cards were well received by fans on Twitter. One wrote: “These are hilarious!!” Another said: “LOVE! Which one will you be sending to your gal Lizzy? (Liz Truss) Maybe make her a special one.”

Another wrote: “Oh my god Joe, these are hilarious! I might frame some for decoration I so needed that laugh this morning.” And a separate fan said: “A lovely gesture Mr Lycett. Great show in Brighton the other week by the way. Best stand up show I’ve seen in a long time.”

Due to high demand, Lycett released more of the cards, but they have now sold out. If the comedian releases more, you will be able to buy them online, here.
