Cabin crew hopefuls in Birmingham can now apply for their dream positions as Jet2 look to expand its workforce in the area, promising an ‘excellent’ salary and 37 days of annual leave. The major holiday company said the jobs will come with all sorts of benefits including discounts on travel, leisure, shopping and well-being on top of ‘generous commission’ for onboard sales.

In a statement, the carrier said while no previous experience is necessary, applicants need to be “passionate” and able to “deliver outstanding customer’s service at all times”. The full-time positions, advertised as “permanent seasonal” contracts, also require them to have the “desire to create memories” for customers.

It said: “As a dedicated cabin crew colleague at Birmingham Airport, you’ll ensure our customers feel their holiday has started right from the moment they step onboard our aircraft. By working as one team you’ll ensure our customers are relaxed, safe, and comfortable while using your sales skills to offer a full range of in-flight refreshments and tax-free goods.

“Our wide and varied flight programme to all of our exciting destinations across Europe means that we cannot specify the exact hours you will work each week. You will receive your roster six to eight weeks in advance, this will include working early starts and late finishes across any day of the week, including weekends and Bank Holidays.

“To ensure that you are equipped to join our award-winning Cabin Crew Team, you will be invited to attend a four-week training course which will give you all the necessary skills and knowledge to start your cabin crew career.”
