Hompophobic attack - Gay Village

West Midlands Police are investigating a homophobic attack on a 38-year-old man in Birmingham’s Gay Village on Sunday in which a man was hit with a bottle. The victim John-Paul Kessler was walking along Holloway Circus in the early hours of the morning when he was attacked and left with a nasty gash above his eye.

Detectives have identified a suspect and arrest attempts are on going to bring the man into custody.

Northfield drug dealer jailed

A drug dealer caught after being spotted with fake number plates has been jailed. Shaun Jones, aged 36, of Clee Road, was stopped in Shrewsbury earlier this year. Class A drugs, cash and phones were discovered.

He was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison for possession with intent to supply class A drugs, production of cannabis and being concerned in the supply of cannabis.
