Pub company Greene King has announced that it is closing the doors of a popular Great Barr pub tomorrow Tuesday (May 2).

Today is the last day that customers at the Cat & Fiddle on Beacon Road will be able to visit the popular family friendly bar for at least a month.

The reason Greene King is closing the bar is because it is investing six figures to invest in its refurbishment. The pub plans to reopen to the public in early June once the major renovations - internally and externally - have been completed.

The Cat & Fiddle prides itself on being in the heart of the community and serves a variety of beers, wines and spirits and traditional pub grub - including a seniors’ menu and kids’ menu.

In addition to refurbishing the Cat & Fiddle, Greene King is also recruiting a number of front of house and back of house team members. If you’re interested in applying you can send your CV to [email protected], or call on 0121 360 7268.
