The gates are now open for Glastonbury 2023 which gets underway today (June 21).
Tickets for Glastonbury sold out in record time earlier this year for the 2023 edition of the iconic live music festival. Glasto returns to Worthy Farm this summer with Sir Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses among the headliners to take to the stage in front of thousands of music fans.
Despite price increases, festival goers didn’t hang around for their chance to secure a ticket to what promises to be another hit weekend for music. Live coverage of the UK’s biggest festival will be available to watch on the BBC, but which local acts are performing at Worthy Farm this year?
We’ve taken a look to see which artists from Birmingham and the West Midlands will be performing and what times they will be taking to the stages. Let’s take a look:
1. Stefflon Don
Birmingham’s very own Stefflon Don will be performing on the iconic Pyramid Stage on Friday - ahead of Arctic Monkeys headline set on the stage later that evening. The local rapper, who rose to fame after her 2017 single “Hurtin’ Me”, is set to perform from 2.45pm to 3.45pm. | Shutterstock
2. Editors
Rock band editors formed in Birmingham in 2002. The group, who wrote the hits “Munich” and “Blood” will be playing at the Woodsies stage on Sunday from 6.30pm until 7.30pm | AFP via Getty Images
3. Mike Skinner
The iconic artist from The Streets of course grew up in West Heath, Birmingham. He will be performing a set on the Nowhere stage on Sunday between 8pm and 9pm. | Getty Images
