Girl dies following Yardley crash

A three-year-old girl has died after being left seriously injured following a crash in Yardley.

West Midlands Police said that the youngster was taken to hospital after the car she was in hit a fence and rolled over in Church Road on Wednesday evening (22 December). She tragically died on Thursday evening.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the time on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and later released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police are continuing to ask for anyone who was in the area at around 10.30pm who may have information or dash cam footage to contact them. They have asked people not to speculate and instead come to them with any information.
