Firefighters are tackling a ‘severe’ fire at a property in Audley Road, Stechford this morning (January 17).

Four crews from Sheldon, Ward End and Hay Mills were called to tackle the blaze just after midnight.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed nobody has been injured at the property following the fire.

A statement from the West Midlands Fire Service, read: “We currently have four crews from Sheldon, Ward End and Hay Mills in attendance at a severe fire incident on Audley Road, Stechford.”

A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called by the fire service at 00:42am to a fire at a property in Audley Road.

“We sent one ambulance, two paramedic officers and the HART team to the scene. However, after liaising with fire service colleagues, it was confirmed there were no patients to treat and we were stood down from the scene.”
