Experiential wine bar Vagabond is coming to Birmingham and it’s offering guests a fabulous opportunity to enjoy some of the best drinks in the world.

Unlike many wine bars, Vagabond lets you serve yourself - and it’s got over 100 wines for you to try - along with 10 self-poured beers, spirits, an expertly-crafted cocktail menu and nibbles.

The impressive menu also includes Vagabond’s own English Wines made at its Urban Winery in South West London.

The brand has chosen Birmingham for its first venue outside London because its managing director is a real fan of the city, admiring its food and drink scene which it believes is perfect for Vagabond - oh, and he grew up in the city too!

So how does the self-service experience work?

All wines are available via Vagabond’s iconic self-dispensing wine machines, which the brand has pioneered since opening its first wine bar in Fulham in 2010.

The innovative machines can be controlled via an app on guests’ phones: ensuring that the power – and the glass – is always in their hands.

Vagabond’s mission is to make it easier for people to fall in love with wine, by providing the opportunity to try a huge variety of pours by the glass.

Making discovery and experimenting a key part of the experience, Vagabond aims to make wine-tasting as interactive and accessible for all as possible.

It really is the ultimate opportunity to paint the town white, red and rose!

Why the Vagabond team are opening in Birmingham - in their own words

Speaking about the launch managing director, Matt Fleming, said:

“We’re seriously thrilled to be opening our newest bar in Birmingham. We’ve had our eyes on national – and international – expansion since before the pandemic, and Birmingham has always been marked as our first non-London opening.

“My own love for the city aside; it has one of the best food and drink scenes in the UK and we think Vagabond will fit in perfectly with its wine-loving residents. The growth of the F&B sector in the city over the years is truly exciting, and we can’t wait to be a part of its future. Plus, now my mom has somewhere to enjoy a great glass of wine!
