Ellie Simmonds has a 10% probability or a 9/1 odds of winning - making her the fifth favourite - after just three weeks, as per bookmakers’ estimates.

While Ellie and Nikita had a good start, they received much higher points in week two, which dipped slightly in week three. The show runs for 13 weeks which gives contestants enough time to make up for faltering in initial weeks.

Before the show started, the multi-award winning swimmer said she was “petrified.” She had said: “I’m going on Strictly Come Dancing!! I’m a tad nervous too, well more than a tad… I’m absolutely petrified! To be asked to be part of the Strictly family is just so exciting and I cannot wait, it’s going to so much fun.”

However, she is not the only one from West Midlands who was on the show. Though, BBC presentor - Richie Anderson - became the second celeb eliminated from the show. Richie, from Smethwick, had described the experience as a “dream come true.”
