Edgbaston cannabis farm shut down

Police have shut down a block of bedsits after finding a drugs factory in the basement through a trap door. Officers stumbled upon the cannabis farm on Stanmore Road after carrying out enquiries into a bike theft. Enquiries showed the landlord had previous links to cannabis cultivation leading to the three bed property being closed down.

West Midlands Police continue to investigate murder of Keon Lincoln in Handsworth

Police are still continuing to investigate the murder of Keon Lincoln, the 15 year old who was stabbed to death just yard from his home Five teenagers have been convicted in relation to his murder which took place in Handsworth this January, four of which were sentenced to life.

West Midlands Ambulance Service wait times increase by 3 hours

West Midlands Ambulance Service response times increased by three hours when compared to 2019. Category 3 calls take 50 minutes longer than the national average, and category 4 calls take an hour longer, making the service the poorest performing in the country.
