Duran Duran have announced that they will be playing several shows in the UK next year including one in their hometown here in Birmingham. They will be playing live at the Utilita Arena on Friday, May 5, 2023.
As well as Birmingham, the tour will visit Manchester, Leeds, London and Dublin. The Brummie new-wave heroes rose to fame in the 80s with a succession of pop hits including Girls on Film and Hungry Like the Wolf.
The current Duran Duran lineup consists of Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor. Sadly, guitarist Andy Taylor will not be joining Duran Duran on the tour, as it was revealed earlier this month that he has been diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer.
Tickets for the Birmingham show are now online.
So to mark the occasion, we thought we’d put together a gallery from the band’s last appearance in Birmingham, when they played an incredible show at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony
