Download Festival: man dies after becoming unwell

A man has died after he became ill at Download Festival at the weekend.
Leicestershire Police said the man became unwell at the festival on Saturday evening (11 June) and was taken to the Derby Royal Infirmary where he died.

Hide AdThe force said the death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries remain ongoing.


The event took place from Friday (June 10) until Sunday (June 12) at Donington Park in Leicestershire.
The festival is located less than 40 miles from Birmingham city centre and is the UK’s premier rock and heavy metal festival.
