It’s been a fantastic first day of Crufts 2024 at Birmingham’s NEC for the world’s greatest dog show.
The event got underway this morning (March 7) with thousands of dog owners hoping their pooch will be crowned the 'Best in Show' at the end of this week.
It is estimated that an average of 28,000 dogs take part in Crufts each year, with one set to be crowned the Best in Show during Sunday's final (March 10).
The Utility and Toy Group winners were announced on day one, as were the Best of Breed winners. Asha Maria from Iceland with Rafa, a Papillon, won the Toy group at Crufts 2024 on day one, and Dean and Abbie Cund from Birmingham won the Utility group with Elton, their French Bulldog.
