Crufts is returning in 2023 with dozens of competitors who will be vying for the top positions in their categories.
On a chilly morning in Solihull, owners and dogs from all over the country gathered at the NEC’s lawns to give a sneak peek about what’s to come between March 9-12. Dog owners have arrived from Norfolk, Wales, Stafford and also Solihull to take part in the biggest dog show in the world.
They will be showing the skills and beauty of their pets. From Labrador Retrievers - which is the most enterred breed in the show - to the rare seen breeds like Bergamoscas and Irish Wolfhounds from different parts of the UK are going to be attending the dog show by The Kennel Club.
The Kennel Club is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year and they have partnered up with Stand Up to Cancer to create awareness about their walkies challenge.
The Kennel Club spokesperson Bill Lambert told BirminghamWorld: “We were back last year after covid. We weren’t here in 2021, but we’re back last year and we’re back to even bigger and better this year, really excited. Lots going on this year, we have a brand new breed this year - the Bavarian Mountainhound - never been shown across before, so I’m very excited about that.
“We will be launching the Stand up to Cancer campaign. We’re encouraging people to sign up for walkies challenge during April this year and encouraging people to raise money for the cancer campaign.”
