The winner of Crufts Best in Show 2023 will be announced on Sunday evening - here are the finalists so far

The final day of Crufts 2023 is here with the winner of the ‘Best in Show’ award to be announced this evening (March 12).

The largest show of it’s kind in the world, thousands of dog lovers have attended the event at Birmingham’s NEC over the last few days.

The crowning glory of Crufts is the ‘Best in Show’ award which sees all the winning dogs from the various best breed categories compete for the coveted position of top dog, aka ‘Best in Show’.. Its position as the flagship event will be no different this year.

When is the Best in Show winner announced and which dogs are competing?

The overall winner of the competition will be revealed at around 8.30pm on Sunday night (March 12).

The Best in Show competition will see the seven finalists competing to win the big prize. The 7 winners of the Gundog, Working, Pastoral, Terrier, Hound, Utility and Toy dogs categories will compete to be crowned the Best in Show.

The winners of their categories and the finalists announced for the Best in Show 2023, are: Orca the Lagotto Romagnolo (Gundog), Archie the Dobermann (working), Blondie the English Sheepdog (Pastoral), Blanca Wire Fox Terrier, Paris the Irish Wolfhound (Hounds), Jake the Standard Poodle (Utility) and Dublin the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (Toy).

The winner of The Kennel Club Hero Dog Award, also crowned on the final day, will receive £5,000 from The Kennel Club Charitable Trust for the dog charity of their choice, with the other finalists receiving a £1,000 donation to their chosen canine charity.
