Police name Birmingham man charged with firearms offence in Wolverhampton

West Midlands Police has named to firearms suspects, including one from Birmingham, following a shooting in Heath Town in Wolverhampton

Two men are appearing before Wolverhampton magistrates today (Wednesday, March 27) charged with firearms offences.

Both were arrested at a property in Hobgate Road in Heath Town on Monday.

Koketso Ximba, aged 21, from Wolverhampton, is charged with possession of a shotgun with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a Class B drug and being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

James Harries, aged 45, from Birmingham, is charged with possessing a shortened shotgun and possession of an offensive weapon.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We are continuing to tackle gun crime as part of Operation Target, which sees us taking a defiant stand against a range of serious and organised crime offences – from drug dealing and burglary to cyber-crime and fraud.
