A man and a boy have been arrested during Project Guardian patrols by West Midlands Police in Birmingham.
The Home Office funded project is aimed at reducing violent crime with a focus on reducing knife crime in young people.

Hide AdDuring the latest patrols in Washwood Heath on Friday afternoon (April 26) police arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They also arrested a 16 year-old boy.
In addition to the arrests officers recovered suspected class A drugs and a meat cleaver which they suspect was intended for use as a weapon.
Inspector Colin Gallier from the Project Guardian team explained that officers were searching a property for more evidence. You can see his full statement in the video at the top of this story.
