'Most wanted' Birmingham man sent back to prison for breaching licence conditions after five years on the run

Santosh White had been wanted on recall to prison since July 2019 when he was arrested on Wednesday (10 Apr) at Broad Lane, Bloxwich.

The 34-year-old appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Thursday (11 April) charged with being unlawfully at large and was sentenced to one year behind bars.

He was released from prison in 2019 after he was previously sentenced for grievous bodily harm. But after not adhering to his licence conditions, White was recalled.

However, he went on the run and had been at large since. He was finally brought to justice following extensive work from officers.

White was sentenced to a total of 12 months, which includes the remainder of his initial sentence, and then an additional four months for being unlawfully at large.
