A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We attended and identified the three, who were arrested a short time later from an address in Birmingham. Officers are remaining at the scenes to gather evidence and carry out further enquiries.

“All three people were arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms and remain in custody. We would like to assure the public this was an isolated incident, without cause for wider concern in the community. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.”
