A man was arrested in connection with a ‘car cannibalism’ incident that took place in Solihull.

The incident took place in Chelmsley Wood last Tuesday (16 May).

Parts were stolen from a Ford Fiesta while it was parked in Waterson Croft including, the front bonnet, fog lights and number plate.

West Midlands Police launched an investigation and arrested a 26-year-old man from an address in Coventry.

DS Adam Buzzard from the Solihull Crime Team, said: “We don’t underestimate how frustrating and upsetting having your car stolen or stripped of parts can be. We will continue to identify those who commit these crimes and with your help and support, we will bring car thieves to justice.
