Teenage suspects arrested for attempted murder in a Solihull park

Two teenagers aged 15 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Solihull.
The victim, aged in his 40s, is understood to have been involved in a disagreement with some youths at around 7pm on Saturday (May 11) in Langley Hall Park.

Hide AdWest Midlands Police said that the man was then stabbed - sustaining injuries which were not life-threatening – and his attackers made off. Following quick-time enquiries we identified suspects and two boys - aged 15 and 16 - have been detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
A spokesperson for WMP said: “We've also arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of assisting offenders and they are all in custody for questioning. We're currently involved in Operation Sceptre as part of our ongoing work to reduce knife crime.
“Knives can ruin lives and we are focusing on raising awareness about the dangers of carrying weapons and the consequences.”
