Smethwick shooting: Police name two men charged with attempted murder

Two men have been charged with attempted murder after two others were injured as gunshots were fired in Smethwick.
The shots were fired towards a shop on Bertram Road on January 12 last year. Two men, aged in their 40s, were treated for injuries which police say were ‘not serious’.

Hide AdNow officers have arrested 21-year-old Jamal Hussain at Birmingham Airport following his return to the UK last Thursday (May 2).
The arrest came after West Midlands Police detained 26-year-old Azeem Hussain as he disembarked a flight into the country last month.
The pair, both from Walsall, have now been charged with attempted murder and firearms offences. Azeem Hussain was remanded to appear before Birmingham Crown Court today (Friday, May 10) and Jamal Hussain on May 31.
