West Midlands Police has named a man officers have arrested on suspicion of firearm offences in Sandwell

A man has been charged with firearm offences after police stopped a vehicle in Sandwell. 

In the early hours of Thursday morning (May 9) - acting on intelligence - officers stopped a black BMW travelling on Hydes Road in Wednesbury

They subsequently arrested Zac Dickens, aged 29, from Wolverhampton, following searches of the occupants of the vehicles.

West Midlands Police said that Dickens has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm, possession of an air weapon whilst prohibited and possession of drugs.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday (May 10).
