Police patrols increased in Lozells Birmingham following life-threatening attack

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted at a property in Lozells in Birmingham this morning (Thursday, April 11).

Police said they were called to Whitehall Road just after midnight where the man was found with multiple injuries which are deemed to be life-threatening.

Another man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and has been taken to hospital for treatment to an arm injury.

A cordon and road closures are in place while forensic examinations take place. Police are conducting house to house enquiries and securing CCTV.
