Police name man charged with attempted murder in Lozells, Birmingham

Police have charged a suspect with attempted murder after a man was attacked and stabbed in Birmingham.

Razvan Mut, aged 33, was appearing before city magistrates today (Friday, April 12) following the incident in Lozells.

Officers from West Midlands Police were called to Whitehall Road just after midnight yesterday (April 11) where a man was found seriously injured. The 64-year-old victim, who is believed to be known to the alleged attacker, remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Mut, of no fixed address, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
