Man charged with attempted murder following a knife attack in Birmingham

A 44-year-old  man has been charged with attempted murder

West Midlands police has charged a man with attempted murder following a knife attack in Birmingham.

A man in his 20s sustained serious injuries on Fentham Road around 8.25pm on 31 March. His injuries were not life-threatening.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on 12 April, in connection with the attack.

Richard Palmer, from Birmingham, has now been charged with attempted murder and possession of a blade in a public place.

He has also been charged with a bilking and assault in relation to a separate incident. 

He was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on 13 April.
