A retired terminally ill Birmingham City University lecturer who exposed his bare bottom to a speed camera van has expressed his shock after he was arrested at his home.
Darrell Meekcom, was recently diagnosed with multiple system atrophy.

Hide AdMr. Meekcom then drew up a list of things he wanted to do before he dies - ‘mooning’ a speed camera was one of those things.
On Friday November 5, Mr. Meekcom presented his bare bottom at a speed camera van near Kidderminster.
Later that day, he was forced to the ground and was arrested by West Mercia Police, who have charged the 55-year-old with public order offences.
Mr. Meekcom also suffers from heart disease, kidney failure and Parkinson’s disease.

Hide AdIt has since been revealed that he in fact targeted the particular speed camera van, as it had caught him out in the past.
The speed camera van was located on Stourbridge road, around 14 miles outside of Birmingham.
Mr Meekcom said that speed camera van always “bugged” him after he had been “caught by them a couple of times for silly speeds like going 35 in a 30 zone”.
Mr. Meekom’s wife, Sarah, 36, recorded the incident, during which he reportedly told officers he was terminally ill and was struggling to breathe.

Hide AdA West Mercia Police spokesman said on Tuesday: “Around 1pm on Friday 5 November officers received a report of indecent exposure on Stourbridge Road.
“Officers attended and after a search of the area, located a person of interest in Coiey Close.
“A 55-year-old man from Kidderminster was arrested on suspicion of public order offences and released on bail.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
