Teenage boy stabbed in broad daylight outside school in Bordesley Green

A young teenager has sustained severe injuries following a stabbing incident in broad daylight near a school in Birmingham.
The attack occurred this afternoon, Friday, May 3, leaving the teenager seriously wounded.

Hide AdThe incident is reported to have happened just outside the Starbank Secondary School located on Hob Moor Road, Bordesley Green, not far from Heartlands Hospital.


Around 1:15 pm, emergency responders, including a trauma doctor, were dispatched to the scene.
On-site, the teenager was given intensive trauma treatment, which continued during his urgent transport to the hospital for further medical care.
The public was advised through social media to steer clear of the vicinity, though by 4 pm, and the area was no longer restricted.

Hide AdA spokesperson for West Midlands Police has said: “We were called to Hob Moor Road, Bordesley Green, at around 1.15pm this afternoon (3 May) to reports of a stabbing.
“On arrival, we found that a teenager had been stabbed in his arm. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
“An investigation is underway to establish the details.
