New data reveals the areas of Birmingham that have recorded the highest number of thefts in 2024.
Figures provided by West Midlands Police show the areas of the city that have recorded the highest number of offences of ‘Theft from the person’ between January 1 2024 and August 31 2024.
Thefts from a person could include pickpocketing offences and other items stolen from people.
It’s important to note the number of incidents/crimes recorded in an area over a period of time can be influenced by a number of factors.
Consequently, statistics for one period may not necessarily be a good indicator of future incidents in that area.
Here are the 10 areas of Birmingham with the highest number of thefts from a person in 2024:
