Officers have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at a mosque on Stratford Road, Birmingham. 

Police received a report that a money box was stolen from the mosque at around 2.40am yesterday (Wednesday, March 20). They discovered that an intruder had managed to get into the mosque before making off with the cash. The incident has occurred during the holy month of Ramadan.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and has been taken into custody for questioning. Police have not named the mosque where the crime took place A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote 20/335454/24.”
