Man dies in Birmingham road collision over Early May Bank Holiday

West Midlands Police has arrested two men following a fatal Bank Holiday Monday road collision in Birmingham

A man has died following a collision in Birmingham on Bank Holiday Monday.

West Midlands Police were called to the junction of Ward End Road and Drews Lane in Ward End at just 6pm yesterday (May 6) after a black Honda Civic was in collision with another car.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services an occupant from the Honda - a man in his 20s - was confirmed dead at the scene. Although others were injured they were fortunately not life-threatening injuries.

Two men - both aged 22 - have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. One is currently in custody for questioning and the other is receiving hospital treatment. Police said that he will be spoken to in due course.
