An investigation has been launched following disorder in Perry Barr in Birmingham last night (Thursday, February 29). 

West Midlands Police were called to Birchfield Road at around 11.50pm to reports that a man had been stabbed. A victim in his 20s was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. Another man was also taken to hospital to be checked over and has been discharged.

The 21-year-old and another man aged 25 have been arrested on suspicion of affray and remain in police custody today (Friday, March 1). A spokesperson for WMP said: “We are looking at CCTV from the area and speaking to witnesses. A number of cars were also left at the scene that are being forensically analysed.
