A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “The sentence comes as we continue to tackle knife crime and youth violence across the force.  The work forms part of our Project Guardian taskforce which sees officers regularly patrolling hotspots for knife and youth violence, and engaging with young people. It also forms part of our #LifeorKnife campaign which encourages children to talk about knife crime.”
