Dispersal order in Birmingham after fireworks chaos injures two and targets officers


A dispersal order is in place in Birmingham following incidents where fireworks were launched at bystanders and officers, injuring two people.
Officers rushed to the area of Bagot Street and Staniforth Street, Birmingham and a dispersal order was put in place after reports of groups of people setting off fireworks.
A Section 35 dispersal order has been put in place following calls from the public who were concerned about groups of people launching fireworks at each other and neighbouring buildings.
Fireworks have also been fired at attending officers.
Two people were reported injured and colleagues from West Midlands Fire Service are in attendance along with Ambulance Service crews.
