West Midlands Police have named a dangerous dog suspect from Birmingham who failed to attend court

Officers have named a dog owner who they arrested in Birmingham this morning (Friday, February 23) after he failed to attend court.

Farhat Ajaz is facing three counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control relating to an incident in September last year.

The 62 year-old was arrested in Bordesley Green. The dog remains in secure kennels.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “A man has been arrested this morning (23 Feb) after failing to attend court to face dangerous dog charges. Farhat Ajaz was arrested in the BordesleyGreen area this morning. 

“The 62-year-old will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court charged with three counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control relating to an incident in September last year. The dog remains in secure kennels.
