West Midlands Police has released a picture of two men holding cans of drink as they investigate an attempted burglary in Birmingham

Residents challenged two men after they attempted to gain entry to their home in Birmingham.

The men made off after they were challenged by the occupants from upstairs at around 3.20pm on Sunday, March 3.

Police are treating the incident at a house on Dragonfly Close in Erdington as an attempted burglary. They said the two men knocked on the door when they approached the property. Officers are appealing for information about the men and have released the image above.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “Do you recognise these two? We want to speak to them following an attempted burglary in #Erdington earlier this month. At 3.20pm on Sunday 3 March, two men approached a house on Dragonfly Close and knocked on the door.
