Remember Boris Johnson attempting to allay the public’s anxiety about the strange spreading coronavirus disease on 3 March 2020?

He was on TV telling us how he had shaken hands with patients suffering from it in hospital. It came as SAGE advised everyone against shaking hands with anyone - whether they were in hospital with coronavirus or not.

The next day a lady in her 70s became the first known person to die of Covid in the UK
