Covid 19: the five Sandwell neighbourhoods with the highest rise in cases

Here are the five Sandwell districts with the fastest rising covonavirus case rates

Coronavirus infection rates are rising across the UK once again, official figures show.

There were 303,504 positive test results in the week to November 25, up 9.5% from the week before.

At a regional level, Northern Ireland has the highest infection rates in the UK, with 625 cases per 100,000 people, followed by South East England, with 524 cases per 100,000.

London has the lowest rate, with 318 cases per 100,000.

Here are the neighbourhoods in Solihull with the highest case rates.

1. Friar Park

Friar Park had 566.0 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week, a rise of 220.0% from the week before.

2. West Bromwich North

West Bromwich North had 239.8  Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week, a rise of 170.0% from the week before.

3. Warley West

Warley West had 599.1 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week, a rise of 140.0% from the week before.

4. Warley South

Warley South had 356.7 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week, a rise of 100.1% from the week before.

5. Smethwick South

Smethwick South had 254.2 Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week, a rise of 92.3% from the week before.
